1977 obtained doctoral degree at the University of Cologne. 1982 at the University of Munich became an Oral Surgeon. 1988 was promoted to Professor in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery of the University of Munich. 1991 became Head of the Department of Dental Surgery (today – Department of Oral Surgery and Oral Implantology) at the University of Frankfurt am Main. is the Chairman of the Hessen State Dental Chamber Postgraduate Education and Certification in Oral Surgery and Oral Implantology. Published more than 50 publications in major journals and co-authored 5 specialized textbooks
